Software Company Oracle Has Promoted 12,000 Indian Engineers at Once, From Employees to Customers

Reportedly, since the company is making strong profits through AI, upper management decided that the benefits should reach the lowest level of employees. As a result, Oracle “promoted” 12,000 engineers from India and 30,000 globally to customers.

Speaking to The Fauxy, one employee-turned-customer said, “I couldn’t believe that we were all getting promoted at once. I thought it was an April Fool’s prank. But when our manager started talking to us politely and calmly, without his usual abuses, like we talk to customers, we realised it was real.”

After the AI race, this step by Oracle has now started a new race in the software industry — who can promote the largest number of employees to customers.
